What follows is a pragmatic perspective about simplicity, at least from my personal standpoint:

"Two things keep many people from trying something new:

1) they think it's too hard to try;

2) they think it's too simple to work;

So what?

When NASA first started sending astronauts into space, they quickly discovered that garden-variety ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. They snapped into action, spent tons of money & developed a zero gravity pen... problem solved!

Their Russian counterparts had the same problem, so they gave their cosmonauts pencils. This simple solution worked at a significantly lower cost!

This isn't just a NASA or big government problem.

It happens every single day in all size business. It happens in your life!"
